Bay Lakes Companies agricultural biomass fuel pellets are a unique and revolutionary alternative fuel product. Created from a specially formulated recipe incorporating various forms of renewable agricultural feed grade biomass, this condensed form of fuel provides a sustainable, cost-efficient, and environmentally responsible alternative to customary heat sources.

Several environmental benefits are derived through the use of agricultural biomass energy when compared to non-renewable fossil fuels. Such benefits include: reduced air and water pollution, increased soil quality and reduction of erosion, and improved wildlife habitat.

Bay Lakes agricultural biomass fuel pellets also offer several distinct advantages when compared to the premium wood pellets currently available on the market.

· Agricultural biomass material is renewable in less than 180 days compared to some
fast-growing trees that may grow as quickly as eight years. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, it may even take over 100+ years for certain trees to grow to maturity prior to harvest

· Multitudes of agricultural biomass substitutes exist while wood pellet manufacturers may be more limited to the supply or harvest of timber relied upon to create their product

· Bay Lakes agricultural biomass fuel pellets are available for use in any automatic feeding system, not just pellet stoves
The only difference between Premium and Standard Wood or Biomass Pellets is the ash content. Standard grade fuel is usually up to 3% ash content, while premium grade is less than 1 percent. This difference is a result of the pellet contents. Standard pellets are derived from natural materials that produce more residual ash. Premium pellets are usually produced from hardwood or softwood sawdust containing no tree bark. Premium pellets can be burned in all appliances. Standard pellets should only be burned in appliances designed to burn the higher ash content pellets.
